Good to know

This generous 2 story home home has 4 bedrooms and 2 separate living rooms. A spacious open kitchen allows for easy interactive hosting with large dining space and breakfast bar. Perfect for hosting families and get-togethers. The courtyard is completely private, boasting 270 degree views of the ocean, complete with spa for the ultimate relaxation experience. There are 2 full bathrooms with one bathtub, and one half-bath (toilet room). The home is across from the beach from West Coast Highway and has easy access and convenient parking. It is walking distance to local Scarborough numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. There is a fully enclosed garage for parking.

House Rules

1) The guest declares that he/she/they is/are over 21 years of age, and no Guest under the age of 21 is permitted to occupy the Property unless accompanied by an adult (sorry no Schoolie’s). 2) To allow property servicing and maintenance, check in time is from 3pm, and check out by 10am. 4) No parties, special functions or gatherings permitted on the property 5) Out of respect for neighbours - minimal noise level required from 10pm until 8am. Please be aware that noise complaints mean there has been a breach of terms and conditions and may result in immediate termination of accommodation reservation and will result in full cost of security patrol call out fees and a $550 fine payable through Airbnb. 6) Rubbish bins must be placed on verge side on designated day for weekly waste removal. Any rubbish including recyclable material left beside bins will incur a charge for removal. 7) There is no smoking permitted inside the house. Please dispose of cigarette ends thoughtfully if you smoke outside. 8) All breakages and damage must be reported immediately and are the responsibility of the guest. Guest to message host on arrival if they notice damage and attach a picture to message where possible. 9) Please do not move furniture around during your stay - a fee may be charged by a tradesperson to put back. 10) Camera PET STAY OBLIGATIONS - By Prior Arrangement Only. 1) So that your pet can settle in with you, please also pack both a food & water bowl, bedding requirements and leash. 2) Please do not allow your dog on the lounge, furniture or beds. 3) It would be appreciated that any droppings outside are picked up and sealed in a plastic bag and disposed of in an outdoor bin. 4) Ensure your dog is happy if you need to leave home without them, as we do not wish to disturb the neighbours with an upset pet. 5) Please ensure you abide by local laws for pet access in on leash and off leash areas 6) It is requested that guests use a vacuum cleaner to remove dog hair before departure to avoid excess cleaning charges. 7) Pets are to be kept under control at all times. 8) Pets must not be left unsupervised or alone at the property at any time. Property neighbours may call the local ranger if the dog is barking. 9) The Guest is responsible for any damage caused by pets, inside or outside the property. If extra cleaning there will be additional charges. 10) Pets that are allowed inside should be cleaned and fully dried off before being allowed to enter the property. 11) Property Owners can NOT accept responsibility for pet safety nor do we guarantee the suitability of the property for the dog you are bringing. The onus is on the pet owner to ensure that the property is suitable for their pet.

I stayed at Janine’s house with my 2 babies and four other adults. The house felt very spacious with 2 seperate living areas, bedrooms and bathrooms split between 2 levels and multiple courtyard areas. The house has the basic amenities that you need and also had plastic plates and cups for children. Everything felt very clean and everything worked well machine, dryers, air con etc. The house is a short walk to the beach and about 750m walk into the main area of Scarborough if you are wanting to eat at any restaurants, go to Cole’s or catch a bus. We walked to the sunset markets on Thursday which was incredible. It was great not needing to find a park for this. A couple of good playgrounds close by. The house is not on the beach side of the highway. Which was fine. The road is pretty busy during peak hours so crossing to go to the beach just takes a little longer but nothing too annoying.

Overall, the stay was pleasant. The host had already informed us that the garage door couldn’t be closed, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The only small suggestion would be that the frying pans are quite old — replacing them would make the place even better.
